Learn how to become a writer with only a high school education. Work at home and supply content to the internet. Think about it. How many pages can you find on the internet? Hundreds of millions? Billions? And every one of those pages has content, writing on it. Who writes all that content? People much like yourself.
That’s right. Web page owners don’t have time to write all the material it takes to fill all those pages. They are always looking for writers to do the writing for them. And because there are so many web sites and web pages, there just aren’t enough professional writers to fill them all.
Think of all the kinds of web pages there are that need content: travel pages, how-to pages, cooking pages, product reviews, movie reviews, web site reviews. If your passion is motor cycles, gardening, hair styles, celebrities, games, scuba diving, dogs, or just about anything you can think of, there are hundreds, even thousands of web sites about it and they all need content.
Web site owners are always looking for content and you can be the freelance writer who provides it to them, for a fee, of course.
What do you need to start a writing career on the internet? Very little. You need to be able to write clearly and you need to know basic rules of grammer. Do you need a college degree? Absolutely not! If you can write at a ninth grade level, you can write for the internet.
Remember, you’ll be writing for people who want information about something. They aren’t looking for the great American novel. They want to know how to keep their cat from clawing the furniture or which hotel to stay at when they visit Catalina Island. If you can tell them what they want to know clearly and plainly, you can be a writer.
But you really do want to write the great American novel? Terrific. And while you’re working on that, you can earn a living as a content writer for the internet. Remember, some very famous professional writers started out writing for little magazines. Writers like Ray Bradbury, Norman Mailer, Truman Capote, and even Charles Dickens started out doing freelance writing jobs. Most of the magazines are gone now. They have been replaced by the internet.
